The person most likely to come across that firearm without warning, often a partner or a child, is almost never the person who was taught how to handle it. Source: Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center, University of Washington.

Who This Is For

Training that starts where you are.

Most people who call have either never fired a weapon or have not fired one in years. Both are normal starting points, and neither is treated as a problem here. Instruction is led by Evender Faustin, a veteran holding NRA Certified Instructor ratings in both pistol and rifle.

Questions

Questions people ask before they book.

The questions New Jersey residents actually search about training and permits, answered plainly.

Evender Faustin, the owner. He is a veteran and holds NRA Certified Instructor ratings in both pistol and rifle, and the business is licensed and bonded. You are not handed off to a contractor you have never spoken to, and you can ask to see the paperwork before you book.

New Jersey requires a qualification course with a certified instructor as part of the permit to carry process, alongside the state's own application steps. The specifics change, so we will tell you which pieces our course covers and which you complete yourself, and you should confirm the current requirements with the New Jersey State Police before you plan around them.

It is a process with real paperwork and real waiting, but the numbers are not what most people expect. New Jersey approved 115,582 permits to carry between December 2019 and August 2026, and denied 535, so fewer than one application in two hundred was refused. The difficulty is administrative, not a test you can fail. The most common problem we see is an application stalled on something avoidable.

The state's own fees are set by New Jersey and are separate from what training costs. Because those fees are periodically updated, check the current amounts with the New Jersey State Police rather than relying on a number on a company website. We will quote our training separately so you can see which is which.

No, and plenty of people train before they buy. Starting without one is often the better order, because you will have a much clearer idea of what actually suits you after handling a few than you will from reading about them.

Yes. Training runs at your location, which is the part most people are surprised by. For a congregation's safety team or a business, that means the whole group trains together without anyone coordinating a trip to a range.
