Why It Matters
What the 67 schools had in place while a plot against them was forming
Share of the 67 schools studied. Two thirds already had an armed officer on campus. A third had any way for a student to report what they had noticed. Source: U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center, Averting Targeted School Violence, 2021.

Who This Is For
A school runs on a schedule: arrival, passing periods, dismissal, events after the last bell. Protection has to fit that schedule instead of fighting it.
One building or every building, planned around bell schedules, board requirements, and the staff you already have.
Smaller campuses carrying the same obligations, usually with far fewer people to spare for them.
We will walk you through that tradeoff honestly, including when the more expensive answer is not the right one.
A threat, an incident, or a near miss. Call and we will assess what changed and what needs to be in place before students come back.
What We Cover
An assessment is a walk through your building on a normal day, not a checklist filled in from the parking lot.
The two busiest moments of the day, plus every door, gate, and blind spot that feeds them.
Who gets in, how they are checked, and what actually happens when someone will not follow the process.
What your staff does in the first ninety seconds. Tested against the building you have, not assumed.
Process
Call or request a consultation. You speak with us directly, not a call center.
We come to the school and walk it during a normal day, through arrival, passing periods, and dismissal.
You get what we found and what we recommend on paper, including what we would not spend money on.
Officers arrive briefed on your schedule and your staff, and the plan gets reviewed as the school year changes.
Questions
The questions that come up in every school security conversation, answered plainly.
Sometimes the honest answer is no, or not yet. An officer is one piece of a larger plan, and the assessment comes first. If better access control and a tightened dismissal would do more for your building than a post, we will tell you that.
It depends on the building, the community, and what your board is prepared to support. Many schools land on a mix: unarmed coverage for the routine day, armed coverage at specific posts or events. We will give you our recommendation and the reasoning behind it, and the decision stays yours.
It depends on how many posts you need, how many hours, whether officers are armed, and how much of the year you want covered. Call and describe your building, and you get a real number for your plan instead of a package price.
Districts generally fund it locally, and in some cases supplement that with state or federal money set aside for school security. We can tell you what we know about the funding routes in New Jersey, but confirm the current programs and deadlines with your business administrator.
Yes. Most schools that call us already have something in place, whether that is a resource officer, a front desk process, or staff who have taken on the job informally. We work with what exists rather than asking you to start over.
